Job Details
Automation and Functional QA Lead
Location: Austin TX (Onsite)
Responsibilities :
- Lead a team for a complex custom application development and maintenance project with integrations across ERP, CRM and PLM
- Understand business requirements and review/build test strategy and planning
- Ensure accountability and ownership of QA deliverables, meeting project timelines and quality standards.
- Conduct a test automation feasibility assessment, proof of concept for tool identification for test automation
- Identify a test automation backlog and produce an implementation plan
- Define, track, and report on key QA metrics to measure the quality and performance of testing activities
- Present monthly business review to the client and Capgemini Sr. management
- Ensure effective utilization of QA team members across projects
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and ensure smooth execution.
- Establish and evolve automation frameworks and reusable components.
- Track and report QA metrics such as test coverage, pass/fail rates, and automation ROI.
- Maintain test data and environments for automation across multiple systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues and flaky tests.
- QA process setup, documentation, and governance.
- Support production releases with automated smoke and regression testing.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing automation results and refining test strategies.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of QA experience with a minimum of 3 years of automation experience
- Experience in CPR domain
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Java for scripting.
- Experience with SAP, MES, or PLM systems is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify or SFCC.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, metrics, and Agile practices.
