Senior Project Portfolio Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Project Portfolio Manager in Philadelphia, PA.

Duties Include:
* Lead the end-to-end portfolio management process, including intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking
* Partner with business and IT stakeholders and PMs to align project investments with strategic goals
* Facilitate governance processes, including steering committee meetings, gating reviews, and executive reporting
* Monitor project health across the portfolio using KPIs, dashboards, and risk assessments
* Create and deliver portfolio objectives aligned to corporate strategy
* Coach project managers and Agile teams on best practices, delivery frameworks (Agile, SAFe, Waterfall), and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
* Drive continuous improvement in portfolio delivery through process optimization and tool integration
* Manage vendor relationships and support RFP/RFI processes for large-scale initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in portfolio or program management roles
* 10+ years of progressive experience in project and program management
* 5+ years specifically in portfolio management, overseeing multiple concurrent projects across departments or business units
* Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional portfolios in enterprise environments
* Demonstrated success managing enterprise-level portfolios with budgets exceeding $10M-$50M
* Experience working in matrixed organizations and managing cross-functional teams
* Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
* PMP, PgMP, or SAFe certification preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
