2026 Entry Level- Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering - Pax River, MD

At Bell, we dare to live on the edge of possibility. From supporting NASA's first lunar mission to pioneering advanced tiltrotor systems, we redefine flight to make a real-world impact. Whether flying individuals to safety or protecting our troops, every team member at Bell is a part of something greater.

Don't miss the chance to join our team environment where you feel a sense of camaraderie. You will collaborate with dedicated, enthusiastic teams where unique experiences, backgrounds and ideas combined with a strong passion for our products take us above and beyond flight.

Day in the Life

We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate. From tiltrotor technology to tail sitting vehicles, our engineers work across a wide portfolio of aircraft programs. As an Engineer, you can expect to work with test directors, discipline engineers, instrumentation technicians, and test pilots to define system requirements and hardware/software implementation strategies for aircraft telemeter parameters for real-time data monitoring and collection for post-test analysis.

Support the flight test team for experimental tiltrotor aircraft, requiring teamwork and collaborative problem solving in a multi-team environment with direct customer contact.

Conduct real-time telemetry data monitoring for safety-of-flight and safety-of-test parameters during test flights.

Analyze test results and be familiar with airframe, rotor, drive system, and fatigue design and test data for instrumented structural parameters.

Disposition any exceedances of static and fatigue monitoring limits during flight. Coordinate the notifications of these exceedances with the cognizant mechanical design and structures engineers.

Participate in test planning activities.

Provide support to address instrumentation issues (determining alternative monitoring parameters).

Monitor accumulated component structural fatigue damage.

Analyze data anomalies and prepare data packages.

Coordinate with team members, cognizant design & analysis engineers, and NAVAIR.

Review and understand all related procedures, processes, and best practices.

Support new aircraft and technology development as well as proprietary analytical tools and applications.
