Job Title: SAP Retail Manager

Location: San Leandro, CA - Onsite
Employment Type: Contract
Experience Level: Minimum 10+ years preferred

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Retail Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and management of SAP Retail solutions across our business. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP IS-Retail, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in delivering end-to-end SAP retail transformations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SAP Retail implementation and support projects including planning, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Manage full lifecycle of SAP Retail modules (such as Master Data, Pricing, Merchandise Management, Store Operations, and POS integration).
  • Collaborate with business units to understand requirements and translate them into SAP system configurations.
  • Oversee integration of SAP Retail with other systems (SAP FMS, SAP CAR, POS, eCommerce, ERP, etc.).
  • Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, PI/PO, BASIS) for custom developments and enhancements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and manage risks/issues proactively.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members and act as a subject matter expert for SAP Retail.
  • Liaise with SAP support and external vendors to resolve issues and manage upgrades/patches.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with SAP IS-Retail, with at least 2 full-cycle implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Retail modules such as:
    • Article Master/Data Management
    • Assortment Planning
    • Merchandise Distribution
    • Pricing and Promotions
    • Store and POS Integration
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA Retail (a strong plus).
  • Excellent understanding of retail business processes and industry best practices.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional global teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • SAP Certification in Retail or S/4HANA Retail.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SAP FMS, SAP CAR, or SAP AFS.
  • Experience working with retail clients in sectors like fashion, grocery, or convenience stores.
