Product Owner - Finance Background

Technical Skills & Tools:
The ideal candidate should have:

SQL experience and familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, but not necessarily development experience.
Python is not critical. Knowledge of Snowflake or Databricks is beneficial.
Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence is expected.
Finance Domain & Data: Candidates should understand financial concepts such as budgeting, forecasting, cash flow models, and P&L.
Banking or finance project experience is acceptable, but asset management is less relevant. Studio finance experience is preferred but not required.
AI/ML & Data Platform: Experience with AI or machine learning is helpful but not required. The technical team will support the product manager on these aspects.
Stakeholder Management: The core responsibility is managing executive-level stakeholder relationships, gathering business requirements, and maintaining the product roadmap. The candidate must be polished, collaborative, and able to adapt to fast-changing priorities.
Team Structure & Collaboration: The product manager will lead one or two pods, each with data analysts, domain SMEs, and technical staff (data engineering, BI, or analytics engineering), depending on the product. They will also coordinate with the core data platform team for data ingestion and prioritization.
Preferred & Non-Preferred Backgrounds: Candidates from media, tech, or finance sectors with experience managing sensitive data and data governance are preferred.
Candidates making a jump from project to product management, or from associate to senior product manager, are not preferred.
