Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) with expertise in Operations Risk Products and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical acumen, business analysis skills, and domain knowledge in operations risk management. As a Senior BA, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the operations risk domain.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements related to operations risk products, processes, and systems.
  • Utilize domain knowledge in operations risk to provide insights and recommendations for improving existing products and processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to elicit requirements and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements documents, functional specifications, and process flows.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to prioritize and track the progress of deliverables.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, providing clarification and guidance on requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct impact analysis and risk assessments to identify potential issues and mitigate project risks.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts by collaborating with QA teams and business users to ensure that delivered solutions meet acceptance criteria.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (12+ years) as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with a focus on operations risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of operations risk products and processes, including but not limited to fraud detection, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments, preferably as a Product Owner or Scrum Master.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems, perform root cause analysis, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques such as process modeling, data analysis, and requirements management.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams is desirable.
