Hiring: Backend-Focused Full Stack Engineer

We're looking for two experienced, backend-heavy Full Stack Engineers to help scale our AI-powered platform. This is a hands-on engineering position where you'll play a key role in building robust backend systems while also contributing to frontend development. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, bring deep systems expertise, and approach problems with a founder s mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and scale backend infrastructure and services

  • Own and maintain APIs, cloud infrastructure, and backend systems

  • Contribute to frontend development using React and TypeScript (30 40%)

  • Partner closely with product and engineering leadership

  • Work onsite in our San Francisco office 2 3 days per week

  • Operate with speed, autonomy, and high standards as part of a high-performing team

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 10 years of software engineering experience

  • At least 2 3 years of professional experience with Golang

  • Strong proficiency in Golang and backend development

  • Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and distributed systems

  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms

  • Frontend experience with React and TypeScript

  • Proven track record of building and scaling backend systems from the ground up

  • Background at high-scale tech companies or fast-growing startups (e.g., TikTok, DoorDash, Lyft)

  • Strong academic foundation in computer science (top-tier CS programs only; no bootcamps)

  • Founder mentality: high ownership, grit, and bias for action

  • Comfortable with long hours in a fast-moving environment

  • Genuine passion for AI and building AI-powered products

  • Collaborative, low-ego attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at social or mobility platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Lyft, DoorDash)

  • Worked in early-stage startup environments (Series A/B)

  • Exposure to high-scale system architecture and performance optimization
