Description:
We're seeking an innovative, hands-on Principal Data Scientist with deep experience in AI/ML, NLP, and cloud-native development to help design and deliver emerging technology solutions that drive real business impact. This is a remote position (U.S. only) with an opportunity to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to modernizing products and integrating cutting-edge data solutions across the enterprise.

Rate: 70-80hr.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

Lead innovation lab efforts focused on cloud-native product modernization and emerging technologies

Design and build AI/ML/NLP prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions that address complex business challenges

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and implement best practices for transparency, traceability, and data governance

Develop and operationalize predictive models, ML algorithms, and statistical analyses

Present data-driven insights, recommendations, and demonstrations to executive and technical stakeholders

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions

Mentor junior data scientists and promote adoption of new tools and techniques

Stay current on advancements in AI research, machine learning, and cloud architecture

Experience Requirements:
Minimum 9+ years of experience in data science, AI/ML/NLP, and data-driven solution delivery

Strong experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, along with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Databricks

Familiarity with Terraform, GitLab Pipelines, Docker, and DevSecOps automation

Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Education Requirements:
Master's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
