Description
Our healthcare client is looking for a System Engineer to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. The IT Systems Engineer will maintain system stability, security, and performance across cloud and on-premises environments. The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for administering a broad range of technologies and services, focusing on Active Directory (AD), Entra, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Remote Access, Email systems, and Cloud Storage Solutions like OneDrive. In addition to day-to-day operations, the IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for planning and executing upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations, as well as troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and ensuring minimal downtime for mission-critical systems. The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, networking, and applications teams, to ensure system integrity and compliance. The IT Systems Administrator must exhibit excellent problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to customer service. Candidates need an understanding of on-premise migrations to cloud environments and how to manage systems in the cloud. The Systems Engineer will maintain Active Directory and need experience with Active Directory RSAT (remote server administration tools) and would like candidates who understand Group Policy and can effectively write and re-write group policy.
The organization is live on Entra ID but must remain in a hybrid environment with both Active Directory and Entra. It has a large VMware footprint and uses Horizon, VDI, and Citrix.
Salary: starting at $85k/year and capped at $120k/year.
