Description
We are looking for a skilled IT Auditor to join our team on a contract basis in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will play a critical part in evaluating and improving IT systems, processes, and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who excel in an analytical and focused environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive audits of IT systems, applications, and processes to identify areas of risk or non-compliance.
Evaluate and test IT General Controls (ITGC) to ensure proper safeguarding of organizational information.
Develop and execute audit programs tailored to assess the effectiveness of IT systems and procedures.
Document audit findings in a clear and concise manner, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure audit objectives are met and compliance standards are upheld.
Apply frameworks such as CobiT to assess the maturity and effectiveness of IT governance processes.
Monitor the implementation of corrective actions resulting from audit findings to ensure timely resolution.
Provide insights and strategies to enhance IT security, operational efficiency, and risk management.
Stay updated on emerging IT audit practices and regulatory requirements to maintain expertise in the field.
Requirements
Proven experience in IT auditing, with a strong understanding of audit methodologies and practices.
Proficiency in using frameworks such as CobiT to evaluate IT governance.
Solid knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGC) and their application in auditing processes.
Ability to design and execute audit programs effectively, tailored to specific IT environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to document findings and collaborate with stakeholders.
Familiarity with identifying and addressing audit findings in a structured manner.
A certification in IT auditing (e.g., CISA) is preferred but not required.
