JOB SUMMARY

The Server and Cloud Manager will provide technical leadership and guidance to the Server and Cloud Team to ensure the stability, scalability and security of the company's server infrastructure and cloud systems while providing exceptional customer service. This role is expected to participate individually and be responsible for the team's participation in project planning, documentation, cost analysis, vendor comparisons and project implementations. Moreover, this role oversees and reviews tests of all production services and their supporting systems ensuring redundancy, resiliency and failover to ensure up-time standards are fully achieved. The Server and Cloud Manager is a crucial role in ensuring the organization's IT infrastructure aligns with business objectives, providing a secure, scalable, and efficient computing environment. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values with Tampa General Hospital.

  • Continued partnership with the application teams to effectively understand application needs and manage application hosting.
  • Ensure that the cloud infrastructure is designed, deployed and administered in alignment with our business objectives, and in alignment with our security availability and performance requirements.
  • Work closely with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in systems engineering and infrastructure management.
  • Cultivate partnerships with our clinical users, management and third parties to ensure work is done in the best interests of TGH.
  • Monitor IT infrastructure using advanced tools, proactively addressing and resolving any issues.
  • Develop, retain and recruit appropriate skilled resources.
  • Promote excellent customer service, effective response times and provide expert insights into general support issues.
  • Proactively anticipate future system problems and provide short and long term solutions.
  • Work closely with the IT security team and third party vendors that provide a variety of managed infrastructure services.
  • Attends and communicates issues effectively at internal and external meetings.
  • Builds technical priorities, standards and procedures.
  • Participate in the manager on call rotational duties.
  • Knowledge of IT and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of IT best practices for monitoring systems to promptly identify and address server and cloud related issues.
  • Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Skill in monitoring and assessing the performance of self and team members to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Skill in interpersonal and effective communications between teams and internal customers.
  • Skill in attention to detail and organizing tasks to work on multiple dissimilar activities.
  • Ability to plan, implement and evaluate upgrade activities and IT system deployments.
  • Ability to establish team goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to plan, assign and supervise the work of others.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years' experience working with IT infrastructure such as Windows Server, VMware, Azure Cloud, and Active Directory.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience directly managing IT infrastructure teams.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies managing migrations from on premise to Azure Cloud and migration from on premise technologies to SaaS.
  • Understanding of current security concepts and principles as they relate to IT infrastructure.
  • Associate's degree - Computer related field
