Location/Division Specific Information:

The Associate Director IT position is situated in our Richmond, VA office, a hub of technological innovation within Thermo Fisher Scientific. You will be part of a team that is deeply passionate about delivering world-class IT solutions. Must be within driving distance to Richmond, VA. This is a hybrid role, however may turn into an office-based role in the future.

What will you do in this role?

Lead IT projects to ensure flawless execution

Track ServiceNow ticket processes to ensure superior customer service

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding results

Coordinate the development and maintenance of IT systems

Keys to Success:

Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing IT projects

Outstanding problem-solving abilities and analytical skills

Ability to compete and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Deep understanding of a laboratory environment

Tracking and planning a financial budget for both OpEx and CapEx

Degree and Experience required
Education:

Bachelor degree highly preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years in IT management roles

Experience leading leaders is required

Proven experience in leading large-scale IT projects

Background in collaborating with diverse teams to achieve ambitious goals

BioA lab experience such as understand LIMS systems, electronic notebook, ECM, and instruments is required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Extensive knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and strictly adhere to deadlines
