The Work
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software Engineer (Tool Developer). In this role, you will perform requirements analysis, design, implementation, and test/verification for assigned tools/applications, with focus on front-end and back-end design & development. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Agile/ Atlassian tools, Java, C, C++, and MySQL Database.
This position requires the ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications
BS degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related STEM majors
3 or more years of experience with front-end and back-end design/development for web-based applications
Experience with Atlassian tools suite
Experience with Web Application frameworks /languages/servers with JavaScript, Java, MySQL, React, Springboot, Eclipse, Python, HTML, XHTML, CSS, GitLab
Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required
Desired skills
Experience with front-end design skills to meet user needs
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple projects and tool products
Experience in software engineering processes and tool/application development/maintenance with particular emphasis on baselining requirements, design implementation and verification
Experience in Agile/teamwork environment. Proficient with Atlassian tools set (JIRA, Fisheye, GitLab, Confluence, etc.)
Experience in process and workflow automation. Knowledge of Unix and Windows operating environments with proficiency in Java, Java Scripts, python, and next generation computer coding languages, database structures and queries (e.g., MySQL)
Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new software development tools and technologies and successfully leverage those to successfully complete assigned projects in a timely manner

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
