Job Details

Job Summary:

The NPI EPS Support Specialist will provide critical operational support for Apple s New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering Product Support (EPS) program. This role is responsible for managing external vendor account access, coordinating shipment management activities, and overseeing the creation and tracking of development build part numbers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of NPI processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit Apple account access requests for external vendors according to EPS directions, utilizing Apple s internal systems.
  • Reset external vendor passwords upon request from EPS to maintain secure and timely access.
  • Communicate completed access details to EPS within 24 hours of receiving the access request to ensure seamless vendor onboarding.
  • Acknowledge and review incoming shipment emails and accompanying documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate directly with shippers to resolve any discrepancies or errors in shipment details.
  • Import shipment records into Apple s systems and ensure proper transfer to unit recipients, following established processes for different shipment types and locations.
  • Track shipments daily, working closely with Designated Responsible Individuals (DRIs) to address issues and unblock delayed shipments.
  • Provide daily shipment status updates to each Line of Business (LOB) group to maintain clear communication and visibility across teams.
  • Review 994s requests received from EPS, gathering all required attributes and MLB (Main Logic Board) Apple Part Numbers (APNs).
  • Establish and maintain accurate part tracking matrices to support effective configuration management and traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Create 994 part numbers using Agile PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools, ensuring that part descriptions are clear, accurate, and up to date.
  • Verify part creation results and perform timely updates to maintain data integrity and support critical engineering timelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent professional experience in supply chain management, logistics, engineering support, manufacturing operations, or a related field.
  • Experience with shipment management processes and systems in a high-tech, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with PLM tools (Agile PLM experience preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of Apple s systems and processes is a plus.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
