QA Lead

Job Title: QA Lead

Location: Manhattan, New York (Onsite)

6-12 Months Contract

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage QA activities for one or more projects at the onsite client location.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, business analysts, and offshore QA teams to define test strategies and plans.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Oversee test execution, defect tracking, and resolution across multiple platforms and systems.
• Manage daily QA operations including planning, progress tracking, reporting, and team coordination.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Review and approve QA deliverables including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and summary reports.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and project-specific quality standards.
• Coach and mentor QA team members to enhance skill development and performance.
• Identify quality metrics and provide regular reporting to senior management.
• Act as the point of contact for all QA-related communication with the client and internal teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in QA management and leading QA teams.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in test management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in QA roles, with at least 2 years as a lead.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing offshore QA teams.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with various testing types (functional, regression, performance, etc.)
