Job Description

Seeking Senior Software Developer in Test to join a high-impact Tools Engineering team supporting developers, QA engineers, and traders. This is a hybrid role based in New York City, offering a dynamic work environment and a chance to develop advanced testing and automation frameworks for front-office trading systems.

The Tools Engineering team delivers world-class solutions to enhance developer and QA productivity and build automated testing environments. You'll be instrumental in shaping and improving the framework that enables users to write functional and integration test cases with ease.

Required Qualifications

  • 7 10+ years of experience in the financial industry, particularly front-office trading.
  • 10+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
  • Deep understanding of the FIX protocol and market data concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of financial asset classes including stocks, options, and market connectivity.
  • Expert in building scalable automation frameworks using Pytest.
  • Proficient with Linux OS and Git version control.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and develop tools and automation frameworks in Python based on user requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reusable code.
  • Support and improve a custom framework used across development, QA, and trading teams.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to the Linux OS and front-office trading systems.
  • Maintain strong focus on quality, usability, and performance in fast-paced trading environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Docker containers.
  • Familiarity with Java and Perl.
  • Background in back-office and clearing systems is a plus.
