Database Administrator

Job Title: Database Administrator (Remote)

Duration: 6 Months  

Location: 100% Remote (EST Only)

W2 Only. No C2C

Experience working with large system and RDBMS enhancements, conversions and production problem resolution.
Build positive client relationships by addressing client needs in a manner that safeguards their bus
Excellent problem-solving skills to assist in issue resolution.

Job Description:

• We are looking for a Databases engineer.
• They will work closely with engineering management and other engineers to develop and deploy infrastructure as code.
• This role is going to be 75% automation and 25% day to day work to better understand the problems the team has.
• They will help automate manual day to day tasks via Ansible playbooks and help design and deliver the next generation self-service capabilities to the internal bank customers.
• Experience automating within databases (Oracle, SQL, Other..)

Position Qualifications

• Must have strong experience with Linux 5 years plus
• Must have strong experience with Ansible 5 years plus
• Experience with source code management and automated build technologies like Git, Github, GitLab, Azure Pipelines, Maven, Jenkins, udeploy, etc. 3 years plus
• Experience with Python, Shell (KSH,BASH), PowerShell, Terraform or other scripting language 3 years plus
• Experience with one of the major clouds (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)  3 years plus
• Experience with Agile methodologies, such as scrum or SAFe  3 year plus
• Familiar with the following technologies, Networking, VMWare, Hypervisors, Active Directory, Kerberos etc.
