A day in the life.

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at MMA, you will lead and oversee a team of cloud engineers responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS. You will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to ensure the team adheres to best practices, maintains high performance, and continuously improves cloud solutions. Working closely with newly acquired agencies, you will facilitate their cloud integration and onboarding, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal cloud utilization. Collaborating with IT, security, and operations teams, you will develop strategic plans for cloud projects, establish standards for security and reliability, and ensure the stability and performance of all cloud resources. Additionally, you will oversee application deployment, testing, and ongoing maintenance of cloud-based solutions, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within your team to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure across MMA.

We'd love to meet you if your professional experience includes these skills:
  • Proven experience leading and managing cloud infrastructure teams on Azure and AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee application deployment, testing, and ongoing maintenance of cloud-based solutions, fostering best practices within the team.
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, or CloudFormation, and guiding teams in their implementation.
  • Strong familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, supporting scalable and resilient application deployment strategies.
  • Expertise in monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactively resolving cloud infrastructure issues, with a focus on minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
  • Deep understanding of security best practices in cloud environments, including identity management, access controls, compliance, and risk mitigation, and ensuring team adherence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams-including development, security, and operations-to align cloud strategies with organizational goals.
  • Experience in supporting and guiding CI/CD pipelines and automation processes, promoting continuous integration and delivery within the team.
  • Proven leadership in developing and mentoring cloud engineers, fostering a high-performing team culture, and driving professional growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills to align cloud initiatives with business objectives and manage resource allocation effectively.

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or relevant experience (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience supporting or developing cloud-based infrastructure and solutions, with demonstrated leadership in managing teams or projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing technical teams, providing mentorship, performance management, and strategic guidance.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and experience guiding teams in their implementation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and RBAC, and ability to oversee their integration within cloud solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD) for identity and access management, and establishing security best practices across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server and other database technologies such as MySQL or Oracle, with experience supporting database integration in cloud architectures.
  • Deep understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud and on-premises environments, including risk mitigation and compliance.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools like PowerShell for automation and scripting, and ability to mentor teams in scripting best practices.
  • Knowledge of source control systems like Git, and experience promoting DevOps practices within the team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to cloud infrastructure, servers, and deployment issues, with a focus on team mentorship and knowledge sharing.
  • Proven ability to support scalable, high-performance cloud solutions, contribute to infrastructure projects, and develop team members' technical skills.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $97,900 to $171,400.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
