Job Description: Responsibilities:- Create, revise, and enhance instructor-led training programs for apprenticeship and re courses.
- Leverage and apply established instructional design methodologies to assess stakeholder needs, analyze complex content, and evaluate delivered training.
- Develop learning materials for technical content, including hands-on practice activities, student guides, facilitator guides, scenarios, videos, assessments, simulations, and other instructional media.
- Perform a detailed task analysis for each job function, business process, or system for which training will be developed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content.
- Define learning objectives, and course structure aligned to stakeholder needs and to meet the constraints of the learning environment.
- Work under the direction of the Senior Instructional Designer to apply company standards, guidelines, and templates.
- Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience.
- Participate in milestone meetings with subject matter experts, including task analysis, alpha, beta, and train the trainer.
- Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation.
- Receive and incorporate feedback.
- Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables.
- Proactively communicate issues and risks.
Required Skills:- 3+ years experience developing instructor-led training.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design and methodologies.
- Proven experience performing task analysis.
- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver against multiple competing deadlines, as needed.
Desired Skills:- Experience with QuestionMark, Author-It, and/or Storyline.
Location:- Bay Area residency is preferred but not required.
- Occasional onsite or in-person presence may be needed depending on project needs.
