SQL Server / Big Data - Software Engineer 3

Genesis10 is currently seeking a SQL Server / Big Data Engineer with our client in the financial Industry located in Irving, TX. This is a 24+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize complex SQL Server queries based on business requirements
• Support and enhance an existing data framework using SQL Server
• Apply knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem to inform decisions around data structure, architecture, and scalability (hands-on experience not required, but must understand the landscape)
• Lead and participate in data modeling, mapping, and integration
• Solve complex, enterprise-scale data challenges using a variety of modern tools and techniques
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and application SMEs to define and deliver project objectives
• Manage JIRA backlog and identify risks in an Agile setting
• Support and align with enterprise-wide data strategy initiatives
• Ensure adherence to data-related best practices and patterns
• Utilize Google Cloud Platform in a hybrid data environment
• Contribute to documentation, team training, and technical knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in Database Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in SQL Server development (queries, optimization, tuning)
• 3+ years of experience with Business Intelligence tools: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Tableau, or Power BI
• 3+ years of experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience working in Public, Private, or Hybrid cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in technical leadership or architecture
• 2+ years in Automation Testing (Selenium/Karate/BDD)
• 2+ years of experience with CICD pipelines, SDLC, and performance testing tools
• 3+ years of experience in financial services or credit/merchant card environments
• 2+ years of experience in C# and VB.NET

Pay Range: $44-54
