Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance on all production machinery. This role involves mechanical and electrical repairs on various equipment such as sauce applicators, topping applicators, packaging machinery, presses, box erectors, compressors, pumps, motors, mixers, and ovens. The technician will work with voltages up to 480V and must be adept at reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics. MIG and TIG welding may be required during the second shift. Initial training will occur on the first shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production and packaging machinery.
- Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs on various equipment.
- Troubleshoot 480v 3 phase electrical systems, motors, fuses, switches, drives, relays, etc.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding when required.
- Train on the first shift.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Ownership of necessary tools.
- Troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- GMP experience.
- MIG/TIG welding experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
