Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and community-focused Senior Program Manager to join our Office of Digital Transformation in Atlanta, GA. This hybrid role supports the IT Director in office administration and leadership while championing community engagement and inclusive digital transformation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and program/project management skills, experience in the City of Atlanta, and a commitment to public service and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic partner and senior advisor to the IT Director to advance customer-first technology initiatives.
  • Act as the backup to the IT Director in meetings and public engagements.
  • Lead civic innovation strategies with a focus on digital inclusion and user-centered design.
  • Coordinate executive communications, project alignment, and strategic initiatives across teams.
  • Oversee planning and delivery of community engagement programs and civic tech collaborations.
  • Liaise with external partners, including community organizations, colleges, and the tech industry.
  • Oversee teams responsible for user experience, stakeholder engagement, and vendor relations.
  • Manage community/customer engagement strategies and departmental outreach.
  • Lead feedback programs from residents, visitors, and city departments.
  • Manage communication and media projects to showcase AIM to the public.
  • Drive performance improvements based on user satisfaction metrics.
  • Represent the Office of Digital Transformation in cross-agency meetings and discussions.
  • Maintain a hybrid work schedule with required in-person attendance and be available for evening and weekend engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive relevant community engagement experience 
  • Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership and program/project management skills.
  • Ability to represent the IT Director internally and externally.
  • Commitment to public service, transparency, and resident-centered innovation.
  • Familiarity with local government operations and civic engagement processes.
  • Must be local to the Atlanta, GA metro area within a 75-mile radius.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, ensuring hours do not exceed 40 per week.
