Job Title: Senior Salesforce Developer
Duration: 6 Months (Tentative)
Location: Everett, MA (Hybrid)
Summary:
A public sector organization is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to join its application development and support team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of new features and the support of existing code across education-related digital platforms. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting Salesforce and related applications using industry-standard tools and methodologies, within a lean/agile development environment.
Candidates should possess strong experience in Salesforce development, especially in OmniScript, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Classic to Lightning migrations. They should also be comfortable working across all tiers of application architecture and integrating Salesforce with external systems.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers, architects, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver software artifacts and solutions
Follow and enhance team standards and software development best practices
Design and develop components using Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Salesforce Integration Platforms
Develop using OmniStudio tools (OmniScript, FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures)
Utilize JSON and JavaScript to customize OmniStudio components
Engage in full software development lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and documentation
Participate in team meetings and provide weekly task/status updates
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Proven experience on large-scale projects with cross-functional teams
7+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, including:
LWC, Apex, SOQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
OmniScript, Lightning Flows, Apex Batches/Triggers
Multistep complex UI development using LWC and OmniScript
Salesforce Experience Cloud customization
API integrations (REST/SOAP), middleware tools, and asynchronous processing (Platform Events, Queueable Apex, etc.)
Use of OmniStudio deployment tools (IDX Workbench, Vlocity Build Tool, Salesforce CLI)
Mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
Maintaining detailed technical and procedural documentation
Certifications Required:
Platform Developer I & II
OmniStudio Developer Certification
Preferred Skills:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint
Familiarity with Salesforce-specific IDEs and version control systems (GitHub, BitBucket, VS Code, IntelliJ, SFDX)
Understanding of WCAG 2.1 accessibility compliance
Agile development methodology experience
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills
Experience in K-12 education systems and curriculum standards (preferred)
Exposure to cloud technologies, particularly AWS
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and evolving requirements in a fast-paced environment
