The purpose of this Senior Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst position is the management of projects, implementation, training and support of the practice management and clinical systems of CLIENT. The Senior Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst manages quality standards and best practices of the department and throughout the organization through the comprehensive understanding of hospital workflows and efficiencies from the clinical, revenue, operational and technical perspectives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Super user of practice management systems who serves as mentor and resource to other team members and department-based users in development of their skill sets and application knowledge base. Knowledge of interoperability with clinical and ancillary systems.
  • Gather requirements, develop and review detailed policies and procedures, standard operating

procedures, training and workflow documentation.

  • Develop and manage implementation projects, optimization processes for increased productivity, revenue generation opportunities or cost control initiatives.
  • Manage and support revenue cycle systems orientation and training schedules to revenue, administrative, clinical and central business office staff, as needed.
  • Manage data validation and work with reporting and interface analysts to ensure accuracy and data verification of reports, query results and quality/state reporting.
  • Experienced in SQL Reporting (developing, troubleshooting, and validation) including working with

Decision Support and BI Team.

  • Thorough understanding of Revenue Financial Reporting (concept, validation, dashboard,

troubleshooting) and data flow architecture.

  • Assist in maintaining Change Management structure for the design, development and maintenance of revenue cycle system configuration, such as content, fee schedules and edits.
  • Provide primary support to revenue cycle systems and applications and secondary support for hardware, database, telecommunications and networking infrastructure.
  • Communicate and escalate urgent needs and awareness to department management.
  • Manage customer service policies and ensure department response to user requests are timely and efficient.
  • Provide Revenue Cycle Application support after hours and act as a secondary escalation resource to department staff.

Other Job Functions

  • Work with other IT teams to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
  • Integrate and fulfill role as a resource of revenue cycle, clinical, operational and technical knowledge.
  • Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance and promote administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to ensure proper protection.
  • Monitor applications, systems, and trends to ensure optimal performance and utilization.
  • Create and initiate best practices throughout the organization.
  • Participate with the IT team in maintenance windows, disaster recovery and system outage planning.
  • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
  • Travel to all facility locations as required.
  • Ability to deliver task/project summaries.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in computer information systems, Computer Science or equivalent technical work experience within the healthcare industry.
  • 5 years experience in Revenue Cycle Process, Systems or Practice Management, required.
  • Experience in healthcare business intelligence and reporting, required.
  • Experience with SQL Server databases, SQL Reporting, Crystal Reports & MS Reporting Services, preferred.
  • Knowledge of EHR/EDIS Systems, preferred.
  • Position requires fluency in English, written and oral communication.
