Job Details

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale intelligent software agents that drive automation across our Ruby and AWS-based platform.

You'll work closely with leadership, product, and customer-facing teams to build core systems that power real-time document workflows, automation triggers, and integrations that help financial institutions move faster.

Responsibilities
Own and drive technical projects from architecture to delivery
Build scalable, fault-tolerant Ruby services on AWS (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.)
Refactor legacy code for long-term clarity, testability, and scalability
Translate customer and product insights into high-leverage workflow automation
Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure uptime and reliability
Help shape team culture through mentorship, feedback, and ownership

Qualifications
7+ years of production software experience
Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and AWS services (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, etc.)
Deep systems thinking - designing for scale, queues, failure states, and observability
Strong communication and documentation skills
Experience mentoring engineers and influencing team direction

Bonus Points
Experience building automation tools, bots, or agentic systems
Familiarity with RPA, document collection, or event-driven architectures
Experience in regulated environments (SOC 2, HIPAA)
Product-minded: you care about the why behind what you build
