responsibilities:
- Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities specifically within the Retail Petroleum sector. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to consistently achieve and exceed targets.
Client Engagement & Solutions: Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to thoroughly understand client requirements and tailor product solutions accordingly. Present and demonstrate complex product features and benefits to prospective clients, emphasizing value.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives.
Negotiation & Closing: Prepare and negotiate contracts and pricing proposals to close deals effectively.
Market Intelligence: Stay continuously informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and internal product developments to maintain a competitive edge.
Administrative & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions within CRM systems. Provide management with appropriate, timely, and accurate updates on sales status.
Representation: Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Customer Onboarding: Coordinate training sessions for new and existing clients to ensure successful adoption and utilization of solutions.

Requirements (Must-Haves):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience in technical sales, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated ability to sell a technical product and convey its value, rather than a large catalog of products.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex product features and benefits.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and management skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel (50%-70%).
- Ability to work on-site in Colorado Springs, CO, or within commuting distance. Out-of-state candidates must have prior experience selling LED signs and be willing to travel for a face-to-face interview without relocation assistance.
- Ability to spend the first month or more on-site for training and onboarding, with potential for a hybrid schedule after.
Preferences (Nice-to-Haves):
- Prior experience selling electronic signs or fuel pricing software solutions.
- Experience in the petroleum industry.
- Background in identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within specialized sectors.
