We are currently looking for a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team in support of our esteemed client. and Requires immediate onboarding. Shortlisted candidates will need to undergo a technical interview, so hands-on experience with the required technologies is essential.

The Data Center team plays a critical role in supporting all production network cabling within our data centers. This global team provides an exceptional opportunity to work with cutting-edge network technologies and collaborate with highly skilled engineers to solve complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities
Loopback Testing & Circuit Audits
  • Perform loopback testing and circuit audits as per project requirements.
  • Identify network circuits requiring loopback testing and prepare test equipment.
  • Simulate traffic, perform tests, isolate faults, and troubleshoot detected issues.
  • Document all test results, including faults, findings, and resolutions.
Loopback Testing – Scope of Work
  • Identify and validate circuits for testing.
  • Configure and operate test instruments.
  • Analyze test outcomes and troubleshoot abnormalities.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all findings.
Circuit Audits – Scope of Work
  • Conduct physical inspections of network circuits.
  • Verify device configurations and proper circuit connections.
  • Assess signal quality and identify discrepancies or faults.
  • Document audit results and remediate issues as required.
Additional Duties
  • Participate in scheduled overtime and weekend work as needed.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings to ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Physical & Mental Requirements
  • Self-motivated, professional, positive, and proactive in improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to represent the company professionally with client teams.
  • Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move items up to 75 lbs.
  • Good color vision and the ability to read fine print and recognize audible signals.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 1–3 years of fiber-related experience.
  • Experience in data center installations.
  • Knowledge of MMF & SMF systems, including OTDR and PMLS testing.
  • Mechanical and fusion splicing experience preferred.
  • OSP or confined space entry experience (splicing) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with trade tools such as screwdrivers, torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers, hammer, wrenches, cable stripper, flashlight, gloves, punch-down tools, tone sets, crimp tools, and Krone/3M/BIX tools.
