Predicate Logic is looking for a motivated Submarine Operating Authority (SOA) Computer Engineer to join our team in Honolulu, HI.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Applicant must be eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
    \n
  • Assist Government personnel in troubleshooting and repair of serial and IP-based communications systems and networks.
  • \n
  • Support End Users via email, phone, and site visits.
  • \n
  • Act as the liaison to the appropriate In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) to ensure problems that cannot be corrected locally are resolved by outside personnel.
  • \n
  • Develop/provide test and evaluation support for new concepts, System Operational Verification Tests, and other test events requiring networking expertise.
  • \n
  • Assist government personnel in maintaining strict configuration control of current architectures.
  • \n
  • Participate in Submarine Shore Computer and Communications Systems Engineering Reviews and provide technical representation at meetings as required.
  • \n
  • Provide network and system administration of the designated Computer and Communications Systems.
  • \n
  • Install and configure workstations, servers, and applications.
  • \n

EXPERIENCE:
    \n
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with Military Communications, including RF paths providing IP network connectivity.
  • \n
  • First-hand experience desired in the following areas:
      \n
    • 1) CISCO Router / Switch configuration and troubleshooting,
    • \n
    • 2) Microsoft Domain Administration,
    • \n
    • 3) Virtual server administration,
    • \n
    • 4) Configuration and troubleshooting of Military Communications Systems and other submarine-specific transmit and receive equipment, and
    • \n
    • 5) Configuration and troubleshooting of Cryptographic Devices (for example. KG-175 TACLANE series, KIV-7 Series, and KG-333).
    • \n

  • \n
  • Strong technical and operational experience in special operations or expeditionary intelligence warfare.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in performing software updates, intermediate to advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis of hardware, and hardware replacement.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and interpretation.
  • \n

EDUCATION:
    \n
  • Bachelors Degree Computers, Electrical/Electronics, Mathematics with field of Computer Science.
  • \n
  • Submarine Communications Experience HIGHLY desired.
  • \n
  • Must have a Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) Information Assurance Technician Level II (IAT II) certification per DoD instructions.
