Job Description:

As a Network Engineer at our organization, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our enterprise network. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities including solution design, technical support, project management, and maintaining high network availability in a 24x7 environment. You'll be at the forefront of technological advancements in a critical manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire network lifecycle from design to troubleshooting.
  • Implement and support a variety of critical network devices including Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points.
  • Handle system requests/tickets, from planning to resolution, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Lead infrastructure projects such as expansions, upgrades, and replacements.
  • Monitor network performance, escalate issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct network audits and implement necessary corrections.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers in complex troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Review and approve network procedures to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when necessary.
  • Collaborate with vendors and ISPs for issue resolution and maintenance.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and security policies.
  • Assist with internal tasks such as inventory management and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting and designing large enterprise networks.
  • Proficiency in network protocols and technologies including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VPC, and more.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to complete tasks effectively.
  • Capability to lift equipment up to 40lbs.
  • Willingness to use cleanroom gear and PPE in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems.
