Microsoft Desktop Engineer

Almost 100% REMOTE but MUST reside in either CT, Washington DC, Southern FLA, MA, RI, NY, or NJ in case occasional on site presence is needed

Responsibilities:

We're looking for an experienced Desktop Engineer with deep technical expertise, a passion for innovation, and the curiosity to continuously learn and take on new challenges. In this role, you'll manage and optimize our enterprise desktop environment, leverage the latest Microsoft technologies, and play a key role in enhancing user productivity and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Desktop Engineering – Manage enterprise desktop and laptop environments using MECM for deployment, software packaging, and updates.
  • Enhance Modern Workplace Solutions – Implement and support Intune and Microsoft 365 to deliver a seamless user experience.
  • Automation & Scripting – Utilize scripting and automation tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Advanced Technical Support – Serve as a Level 3 escalation point for complex application issues.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with IT Support Services, Security, Networking, and Application teams to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Mentorship – Guide junior engineers and support staff, fostering knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Flexibility – Take on additional duties and projects as needed while embracing new learning opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in desktop engineering (including 1+ year with MECM).
  • Technical Skills: Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mindset: Desire to learn, adapt, and take on new responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
  • Experience with PatchMyPC, Citrix, Hyper V, Azure, AWS, or other virtualization/cloud technologies.
  • Prior legal experience
