Title: Sr.Systems Administrator (Senior IAM Administrator)
Location: Herndon, VA Hybrid (min. 3 days onsite/week)
Duration: Long Term
The Senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Administrator is responsible for delivering secure, compliant identity solutions in line with organizational policies and CMMC requirements. This role manages user lifecycle processes, enforces access governance, integrates IAM platforms, and ensures regulatory compliance. A key focus is on advanced PowerShell scripting to automate provisioning, deprovisioning, bulk updates, and auditing across Active Directory, Azure AD, and related services. Collaboration with security, compliance, and IT teams is essential.
Responsibilities
- Serve as SME in IAM systems (Microsoft Entra, Okta, Active Directory)
- Develop and document IAM processes: monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity planning, change management
- Maintain diagrams, workflows, and documentation
- Manage incidents, root cause analysis, and vendor relationships
- Support other IT teams (Cloud Ops, Cyber Security, Systems Admin)
- Lead IAM infrastructure projects and system analysis
- Maintain high customer satisfaction levels
Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in IT, 4+ years in server/applications administration
- Expert in PowerShell scripting & IAM process automation
- Experience with Microsoft Entra, Azure AD Connect, ADFS, LDAP, JAMF
- Knowledge of SAML, OAuth, MFA, YubiKey, PKI, RSA SecurID
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- CMMC implementation experience
Technical Skills Desired
- Expert-level Azure & Microsoft Windows administration
- Professional certifications (MCSE, Azure, Okta, etc.)
- Linux (SUSE, RedHat, CentOS) experience
- SEIM tools integration & NIST 800-53 rev 4 knowledge
