Director, Software Engineering F/T
Overview
Work with business and IT decision makers to influence how IT plans and executes change on behalf of the business.
Role
Lead aspects of the Enterprise Architecture team for GTO, managing a wide variety of IT and business services and ensuring that the direction of GTO is aligned with the business.
Lead a team of sr. consultants, consultants or engineers at varying levels through directs reporting or matrix reporting.
Create the future state business/technology architecture through business alignment and IT strategies.
Identify and validate the business value of new and emerging technologies.
Manage the Portfolio Application & Tool Rationalization process to ensure applications are aligned with business capability needs, IT Strategy and cost efficient.
Manage the Portfolio Mgmt process.
Key activities include architecture assessments and recommendations on new initiatives.
Lead/Support the RFI/RFP process by confirming or defining the business, information, technology and solution architecture model.
Manage the process for detailed technical analysis of target acquisitions to aid in decision making and post-merger integration activities.
Manage the architecture governances processes which provide oversight and influence, track and manage architecture issues and their corresponding exceptions or corrective action plans.
Lead and/or support project teams in the conceptualization and design detailed solutions that enable the project/solution to meet its organizational business objectives.
Develop and communicate best practices around predefined architectural patterns, proven for use in particular business and/or technology domain, together with supporting artifacts to enable their use.
About You
Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Information Systems, Business or related and eight (8) years of experience in job offered or as a Business Analysis, Enterprise Architecture, Software Engineer, IT, Banking, Financial, Payments or related.
Qualifying experience must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: Leveraging a variety of frameworks and methods to develop and promote architecture; Experience in Enterprise Architecture capacity within a large company. Qualifying experience must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: Driving strategic alignment of product solutions with the business; Creating a common architecture vision with product solutions and line of business leaders; Defining processes for product solution implementation and governance; Developing technology strategies that support product solutions and business strategies; Identifying, analyzing, and proposing product solutions investment opportunities; Discovery, analysis, and application of industry trends; Mentoring team members; Facilitating and leading cross functional teams.
Rate of pay: $223,600.00 - $264,000.00 / year.
