Note: Client is looking for a finance background and had worked on the API management and Migrations along with MuleSoft.
Locals prefer but not mandatory
Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and delivery of API integration solutions. This role involves architecting and implementing secure, scalable, and reusable integrations using aligning with 15-factor principles and enterprise API strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the API integration architecture using iPaaS tools.
- Lead design and implementation of integrations with third-party APIs (REST/SOAP), regardless of backend technology (.NET, Java Spring Boot, Node.js, etc.).
- Implement token-based authentication, authorization, and enforce API gateway policies.
- Establish best practices for API lifecycle management using Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
- Design and manage sandbox environments with mock/test data for parallel system testing.
- Solve integration edge cases and performance bottlenecks proactively.
- Implement and promote 15-factor app principles for highly scalable APIs and integrations.
- Work closely with security teams to ensure APIs are compliant with OWASP and API security patterns.
- Guide development teams on proper API design patterns, governance, and documentation practices.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in Design Center, Runtime Manager, API Manager.
- Hands-on experience with API Gateway, OAuth2.0, JWT, Client Credentials Flow, etc.
- Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API mocking tools.
- Experience integrating APIs from multiple backends (.NET Core, Java Spring Boot, NodeJS, Python, etc.).
- Proficient in enterprise integration patterns, error handling, logging, and monitoring integrations.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of 15-factor app principles, asynchronous messaging, and resilience patterns (retry, circuit breakers, etc.).
Nice to Have:
- Experience on Code Connect experience is highly recommended
- Experience with other iPaaS tools like Boomi, Apigee, or Azure API Management.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/K8s) and cloud-native deployments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
