You will need to live within commuting distance of our Portage, MI office. This is a hybrid role, with on-site work required on average 4 days a week.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and verify components and modules for medical devices under minimal supervision.
- Translate design inputs into engineering specifications and subsystem-level designs.
- Prototype and analyze design solutions to validate concepts and performance.
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges using data-driven analysis, resulting in improved processes and outcomes.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including Design History Files, in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure alignment with quality management systems and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Marketing teams to ensure project success.
- Prioritize tasks and manage workload independently to meet project milestones.
What You Will Need
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum two years of relevant engineering experience.
Preferred
- Proficiency in creating engineering drawings and models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (Creo Preferred).
- Experience in the medical device industry or regulated environments.
- Working knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with design controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
