The consultant will also assist with preparing infrastructure for a future SPLUNK implementation and ensure repeatability of processes for future deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

RedHat Linux Systems:

Windows Systems on Dell Hardware:

  • Harden Windows OS environments in preparation for ATO.

General Duties:

  • Collaborate with federal stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of STIG implementations and configuration decisions.

  • Ensure compliance with all cybersecurity protocols and project requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with RedHat Linux system administration and hardening.

  • Proficiency with Windows OS, especially in federal or secure environments.

  • Familiarity with Dell hardware, including iDRAC configuration.

  • Experience using STIG Viewer and applying DISA STIGs.

  • Knowledge of ACAS SecurityCenter, vulnerability scanning, and remediation.

  • Hands-on experience with endpoint protection tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Trellix).

  • Understanding of closed/air-gapped environments and secure configurations.

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting SPLUNK implementations.

  • Prior work on federal projects involving ATO preparation.

  • Knowledge of ISO creation and system image management.
