Job Details

Title: SAP Archiving Consultant
Location: Remote
C2C/W2

*Job Summary:*
The SAP Archiving Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP data archiving solutions to optimize system performance, ensure compliance, and reduce database growth. The role involves close collaboration with functional, technical, and infrastructure teams to manage data lifecycle strategies across SAP landscapes.

*Key Responsibilities:*
Design and implement SAP Data Archiving strategies using SAP Archive Development Kit (ADK)
Configure and manage archiving objects for SAP modules such as:
o FI / CO
o MM
o SD
o PP
o HCM
Set up and manage content repositories (SAP Content Server, OpenText, or third-party archiving tools)
Perform data volume analysis and recommend archiving candidates
Execute archiving, deletion, and reload activities
Ensure compliance with legal, audit, and retention requirements (SOX, GDPR, etc.)
Monitor archiving jobs and troubleshoot issues
Support system upgrades, migrations, and S/4HANA conversions related to archiving
Develop and maintain archiving documentation and procedures
Collaborate with BASIS, functional consultants, and business users
Provide post-implementation support and user training

*Required Skills & Qualifications:*
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
10+ years of experience in SAP Data Archiving
Strong knowledge of:
o SAP ADK
o SARA transactions
o Archiving object customization
Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA
Familiarity with OpenText, SAP ILM, or similar tools
Understanding of database management and performance optimization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills

*Preferred Qualifications:*
SAP Certification (Archiving, ILM, or relevant module)
Experience with SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)
Prior experience in regulated industries (Finance, Healthcare, Manufacturing)
Experience working with US-based clients and compliance standards
