Job Description
***Only qualified POS Tester candidates located near Columbus, OH to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence. ***
Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Experience testing inventory management systems including all inbound and outbound interfaces
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile)
Experience working on projects with multiple teams and resources
Experience working in an onshore/offshore model
Experience with HP ALM, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools
Must have experience in design and execution of test cases
Experienced in bug tracking
POS and or Web testing experience
Understanding of different testing types like sprint test, smoke test, regression, end to end, integration etc
Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Retail experience preferred
Experience working on OMS preferred
Experience testing Manhattan Active Omni a plus
Required Soft Skills:
Organizational and planning skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate and coordinate
Proactive participation in team environment
Strong documentation and communication skills
Takes pride in delivering quality work to meet the needs of clients and customers
POS Tester Responsibilities:
Participates in functional and technical design reviews to ensure understanding of relevant business processes, technologies, and architectures
Creates or modifies test scenarios and test cases that are in alignment with functional requirements
Ensures appropriate test data is defined and available in the test environment
Executes and statuses test cases, including proof of testing
Clearly document defects, and retests fixes in a timely manner in required test management tool
Effectively communication progress and status to test lead/manager
Deliver quality work to meet the needs of application teams and business partners
Work in a collaborative project environment with cross-functional teams
Assists in driving issues to closure
Complete assignments on time in accordance with the priorities identified by the test lead
