Position Summary
Meridian IT has a full-time Account Manager position available in the East Region. The Account Manager focuses on selling business solutions, consulting, design, implementation, and managed services. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and supporting opportunities in the East sales region.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing a defined market with new customers;
  • Identifying and knowing every prospect;
  • Developing and driving a successful market development plan;
  • Identifying customer needs, develop value enhancing solutions and consulting on alternatives with client;
  • Mapping all divisions and key decision makers in each account; hunt new logos;
  • Weekly sales updates;
  • Achieving assigned sales targets on Monthly/Weekly accomplishments/CRM reports;
  • Proposal writing, financial justifications, closing the sale, follow up and account maintenance;
  • Leading the immediate sales team in developing new solutions and applications for customers;
  • Internal teamwork with partner groups to achieve complete customer satisfaction;
  • Taking total ownership of account plan and communicating to Meridian management on the strategy needed to be successful in territory:
    • New customer development.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3 or more years of successful sales experience is required around one or more of our Core Competencies: Data Center (networking, storage, distributed systems), Unified Workspace (Unified Communications, Contact Center), Cloud and Security/Risk Management;
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus;
  • Significant communications industry knowledge is preferred;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Practiced and proven presentation experience with demonstrable success;
  • A self-motivated, assertive, and outgoing professional personality.
