Residency Requirement: Contractor must currently reside in Pennsylvania.
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Load Balancer Administrator to support the design, implementation, and management of mission-critical load balancing infrastructure. This role ensures secure, reliable, and high-performance delivery of applications and services.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Citrix NetScaler, strong networking knowledge, and advanced troubleshooting skills, along with the ability to develop clear documentation and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy scalable load balancing solutions to support enterprise applications.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancing policies for optimal traffic management.
  • Install and configure Citrix NetScaler appliances/virtual instances, ensuring smooth integration with existing network infrastructure.
  • Set up and maintain high availability (HA) and failover configurations (active-passive and load-sharing).
  • Implement NetScaler Content Switching for optimized application routing and delivery.
  • Manage SSL/TLS certificates and integrate authentication mechanisms for secure access.
  • Monitor system health and performance using NetScalerConsole, Wireshark, and other tools.
  • Analyze logs/events to prevent outages and ensure proactive system stability.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and training materials for support and operations teams.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Networking & Load Balancing:
  • 5+ years experience with TCP/IP, NAT, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
  • Proven expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancing.
  • Hands-on proficiency with NetScaler CLI (NITRO API) and GUI.
  • Strong knowledge of NetScaler Content Switching.
