Job Details

As a Splunk Architect with the corporate investment banking company we are working with, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain the Splunk infrastructure. Being able to relate systems within the organization. You will work closely with various teams, including IT operations, security, and application development, to ensure the successful deployment and utilization of Splunk for monitoring, log management, and data analysis purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Splunk Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design an efficient and scalable Splunk infrastructure that meets those needs. This includes designing the architecture, data collection mechanisms, indexing strategies, and data retention policies.
  2. Implementation and Deployment: Lead the implementation and deployment of Splunk across various environments, ensuring a smooth transition from proof-of-concept to production. Configure and optimize Splunk components such as indexers, search heads, forwarders, and data inputs.
  3. Splunk Configuration and Customization: Configure and customize Splunk to meet specific use cases and requirements. Develop and maintain Splunk applications, dashboards, and reports tailored to the needs of different teams and stakeholders.
  4. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the Splunk infrastructure, including indexing performance, search performance, and data ingestion. Proactively identify and resolve issues, optimize system performance, and provide troubleshooting support to other teams.
  5. Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the security team to ensure proper security measures are implemented within the Splunk environment. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to log management, data privacy, and data retention.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong experience working with Splunk, including architecting and implementing Splunk solutions in large-scale environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Splunk components, such as indexers, search heads, forwarders, and deployment servers.
  • Proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language) for creating complex queries, reports, and dashboards in Splunk.
  • Familiarity with log management, event correlation, and data analysis concepts.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles.
