JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications that support business and user needs. This role involves hands-on development, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions. The ideal candidate has strong programming fundamentals, experience with modern development frameworks, and a collaborative mindset. Prior experience within an investment banking or financial services environment is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications in alignment with functional and technical requirements.
Build new application features and enhance existing functionality.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and performance issues.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to development standards.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Support application deployments, upgrades, and production issues as needed.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and best practices.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, and/or SQL.
Experience working with application development frameworks and modern development tools.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in investment banking, capital markets, or financial services environments.
Exposure to agile or DevOps development practices.
Experience with relational databases and data modeling.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
