Description: We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect with strong experience in the financial services domain to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data solutions. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data strategies, optimize data architecture, and ensure data governance, quality, and security. You will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain enterprise data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business objectives.

Define and enforce data standards, metadata management, master data management (MDM), and data governance principles.

Design data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, reporting, regulatory compliance, and application integration.

Collaborate with data engineering, data science, BI, and application development teams to build scalable data pipelines and platforms.

Provide architectural leadership for cloud and hybrid data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake).

Define data integration strategies across internal systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, Core Banking) and third-party financial platforms.

Lead the selection and implementation of data tools, technologies, and platforms.

Support data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX, Basel III).

Conduct data quality assessments and recommend improvement initiatives.

Participate in Agile development and contribute to architecture governance processes.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management.

3+ years of experience in the financial services industry (banking, capital markets, insurance, or asset management).

Deep understanding of financial products, transaction systems, and regulatory data requirements.

Proven experience with enterprise data architecture tools (e.g., ER/Studio, ERwin, Sparx EA).

Strong expertise in data modeling (3NF, dimensional, data vault).

Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Data Lake, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform BigQuery).

Proficiency in SQL and modern ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, dbt, Apache NiFi).

Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and streaming data (Kafka, Kinesis) is a plus.

Familiarity with data privacy, risk management, and compliance in financial services.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience implementing data governance frameworks (e.g., Collibra, Alation).

Knowledge of financial data standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, MiFID II, FATCA).

Certifications: TOGAF, CDMP, DAMA, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Certified Data Architect.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
