Position Title: SharePoint Consultant
Location: White Plains, NY 10604
Position Type: Contract (6 Months, 40 Hours/Week)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Consultant to support the design, configuration, and administration of SharePoint Online environments. The ideal candidate will have experience managing both communication and team sites, implementing governance, and automating business processes with Power Automate. This role is essential in optimizing collaboration, document management, and integration with Microsoft 365 tools across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage SharePoint communication and team sites.
  • Administer site collections from the SharePoint Admin Center.
  • Apply standard or custom site templates and designs.
  • Enable/disable advanced site features (e.g., publishing, scripting).
  • Configure site creation, sharing, and quota settings.
  • Manage document library settings, including versioning, check-in/check-out.
  • Enable and manage UI features such as metadata navigation or modern/classic views.
  • Develop and apply custom content types and columns.
  • Configure document libraries, views, and metadata schemas.
  • Implement and monitor document approval workflows and version history.
  • Build process automation using Power Automate (e.g., alerts, approval flows).
  • Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, Power BI, and Power Apps.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with SharePoint Online administration and configuration.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, especially Power Platform tools.
  • Ability to implement and manage governance policies in SharePoint.
  • Hands-on experience with document libraries, metadata management, and workflows.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint modern vs. classic UI options.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Experience integrating SharePoint with third-party tools or custom scripts is a plus.
