Azure Security Engineer - W2 only

• We need an MS Cloud Azure expert!
• The team is looking for infrastructure/ migration experience specifically
• Its going to be technical and they need help with a migration strategy
• TOP 3: AD migration, identity access management, infrastructure deployment, and cloud governance

From the client:

• We are looking for someone with only security focused but a well-rounded Azure background, including hands-on experience with AD migration to cloud, identity and access management, infrastructure deployment, and cloud governance.

This role focuses on enhancing the organization's Microsoft Azure environment based on best practices, directly supporting initiatives to optimize security, create logical group hierarchies, and establish effective permission structures within Azure. This effort is part of a broader goal to improve security protocols, address gaps in the current Azure setup, and enhance the organization's overall Azure security score. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in security permissions, group assignments, and Azure configuration to define and implement necessary changes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Azure Security Best Practices:
• Review and assess the organization s current Azure setup to identify gaps in security and configuration best practices.
• Implement security protocols to align with industry standards.
• Optimize Azure security scores by following established guidelines and identifying vulnerabilities.
2. Group Assignments and Permission Controls:
• Establish a clear hierarchy within Azure groups and permissions, ensuring structure and scalability.
• Assign appropriate permissions to each group, incorporating role-based access control (RBAC) principles.
• Perform comprehensive cleanup of unnecessary or duplicate groups.
3. Gap Analysis and Feedback:
• Conduct a detailed gap analysis based on the desired structure and setup outlined by leadership.
• Provide actionable feedback on areas for improvement and strategies to address identified issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational needs and priorities.
4. Cloud Migration Support:
• Support efforts post-O365 migration to fully utilize Azure cloud services.
• Transition configurations from previously mimicked on-prem requirements to fully cloud-integrated best practices.
