Description:
Designs and defines system architecture and solutions for integrating multiple platforms, operating systems, cloud and applications. Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software/cloud compatibility and maintenance of system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards and overall enterprise architecture. Assists in the development and management of an architecture governance process. Develops and recommends corrective actions and system solutions. Provides technical guidance for database administrators, software developers, and other stakeholders. Understands and determines requirements of infrastructure, network, and security in third party cloud offerings. Translates business requirements into functional and technical architecture. May guide decisions on which technologies to implement, operational planning and useful life of products.
Background/Need:
The unit has been established to provide a centralized approach to grow capability and adoption of digital engineering practices n prototype development. The unit embraces the use of digital technology to aid in our work and are undergoing a Digital Engineering transformation. The unit is an operational Group within a particular Division that provides digital engineering solutions to other same Division groups through the ARAS Innovator platform. Since the inception of the Group, the unit has been without an experienced expert who interfaces with various Lab users and then develops and demonstrates potential solutions for the platform.

- The individual selected for this role must have in depth Product Life Cycle Management (PLM), Systems Engineering background, Model Based Systems Engineer experience. Additionally, this individual must have experience developing and integrating ARAS Innovator platform
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- We are looking for experienced PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Solutions Architects who will play a key role in leading successful customer deployments of Aras Innovator solutions.
- This role will lead the technical implementation team in the planning, elaboration, design, construction, and transition of solutions that exceed customer requirements.
- Demonstration of technical leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to negotiate with key customer stakeholders are essential in ensuring success.
- Lead a technical implementation team in all aspects of solution deployment
- Facilitate workshops, develop solutions, build consensus across all stakeholders to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology aligned to business value
- Develop conceptual solution architecture using combination of standard and custom applications to produce end-to-end customer solution
- Lead as well as support the development of requirements specifications, Use Cases, and functional specifications
- Perform solution analysis and develop customer facing proposals and contribute to the development of proposals / statements of work
- Transform customer requirements to technical solutions through a thorough understanding of the Aras Innovator suite of tools
- Lead or participate in the delivery of Proof-of-Concept engagements at key prospects
- Provide input to the professional services team regarding methodology and tools
- Assign tasks to project members and reviews the team s work products to ensure that they are accurate and consistent.
- Professionally interact and communicate with customers and internal team members
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of PLM deployment experience
- 1+ year of full-time experience developing solutions specifically for ARAS Innovator PLM
- Proven track record in leading large, enterprise PLM software deployments in an Architect role
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Technically self-sufficient with data modeling techniques, SQL Server and Microsoft Office products. Installation and configuration of SQL Server, SQL Scripting (Transact SQL), SQL triggers, stored procedures, functions, etc.
- Must be proficient with web programming languages such as: C# (.NET), JavaScript, HTML, XML, XSL
- Have a thorough understanding of large-scale enterprise application deployment methodologies with experience leading teams in an Agile / Scrum environment
- Must be able to write clear, understandable Requirements, SOW, Specification documents, and Use Cases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in any of the following verticals: Automotive, Consumer Products, High Tech Electronics, Aerospace, & Shipbuilding
- Industry knowledge of any of the following: Engineering Change processes, Phase Gate Project Management, Quality systems processes, DFMEA, PFMEA, CAPA, Manufacturing Process Planning, CMII change management
- Experienced with data migration techniques from legacy systems
Others:
- Candidate should expect to work onsite 1 day/wk. to meet with team members, users etc. ; team may consider someone that is virtual (lives within 100 miles from the Lab) that would be willing to come onsite periodically (like maybe a few times a quarter) at their expense. But the ideal candidate can be onsite once/wk.
- Interim clearance is ok to start
- Interview process will be 2, maybe three rounds depending on manager availability.
