Job Description:
NFRAM 7 Implementation Expert is a specialized consultant in the healthcare IT sector. Their primary role is to guide a healthcare organization through the process of achieving Stage 7 maturity on the HIMSS Infrastructure Adoption Model (INFRAM). This model is a framework used to assess and benchmark a healthcare organization's IT infrastructure.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, an INFRAM 7 Implementation Expert needs a specific blend of technical and soft skills.
- Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, IT, or a related field is typically required. Candidates must have extensive experience in healthcare IT, often with several years in a senior or lead capacity.
- INFRAM Expertise: Deep expertise and documented experience with the HIMSS INFRAM maturity model is mandatory. This includes having led or participated in INFRAM assessments and being able to interpret results to develop an implementation plan.
- Technical Knowledge: A strong technical understanding of healthcare IT infrastructure components is essential. This includes areas like networking, data centers, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions.
- Project Management: Proven ability to lead and manage complex IT projects with multiple stakeholders is crucial.
- Communication and Analytical Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are needed to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are also a must.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
An INFRAM 7 Implementation Expert performs a variety of crucial tasks to help an organization reach the highest level of infrastructure maturity. These include:
- Assessment and Gap Analysis: The expert leads a comprehensive analysis of the client's current IT infrastructure against the INFRAM maturity model (Stages 0-7). They identify any gaps, risks, or opportunities for improvement.
- Strategic Roadmap Development: Based on the assessment, they create a detailed, actionable roadmap and project plan. This plan guides the client from their current INFRAM stage to the desired Stage 7.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: They serve as a liaison between various teams, including IT leadership, clinical staff, and operational teams, ensuring everyone is aligned with the project goals.
- Implementation and Guidance: The expert provides guidance on best practices for critical IT infrastructure domains, such as cybersecurity, data center solutions, networking, and cloud solutions.
- Certification Support: They assist the client in preparing for and successfully completing the HIMSS INFRAM self-assessment and validation process, which is necessary to achieve certification.
- Documentation and Reporting: They document project progress, findings, and final recommendations in clear and concise reports for leadership and stakeholders.
