Job Description:
Role: Field Desktop Support technician
Location: Orange County, CA (Onsite)
Client is seeking an experienced Field Desktop Support Technician to provide advanced technical support to our business users and customers. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in desktop technologies, hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting. This role requires excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to quickly and professionally resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced desktop support including troubleshooting, configuration, and software installation.
  • Support and troubleshoot issues related to M365, Windows OS, Active Directory, and ticketing systems.
  • Provide technical assistance for end-user issues including:
    • Password resets
    • Account information
    • Case number lookups
    • Adobe Reader issues
    • Browser issues
    • General technical and connectivity issues
  • Set up and configure equipment for employee use.
  • Image computers using various methods and ensure proper system configuration.
  • Install and perform minor repairs on computers and peripheral devices.
  • Support in-office hardware such as PCs, printers, and network equipment.
  • Demonstrate strong networking knowledge, including IDF/MDF, switches, routers, and access points.
Required Experience
  • 5 10 years of hands-on experience with desktop, hardware, software, and network support.
  • Strong expertise in Windows OS (Windows 7, 8, 10) and Microsoft Office (2010 to M365).
  • Experience with Windows, M365, PC setup, and printer configuration.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a high attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and phone-based, with active listening abilities.
