Position can be 100% remote from the following states:
California, DC, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Washington
We are the company primarily responsible for a secure, stable and unified internet and are looking for a Global Domains (DNS) Manager/Engineer. The Global Domains (DNS) Manager/Engineer will:
- Collaborate with internal engineers and external Registries and Registrars Infrastructure/System Engineers in the design, development and implementation of a new internet protocol.
- Manage technical systems related to gTLD registries and registrars, and to provide technical input and expertise to other departments
- Utilize their DNS registry or registrar systems engineering and technical expertise to manage technical projects and external relationships, to address operational issues impacting gTLD (generic Top-Level Domain) registries and registrars.
- Provide technical oversight and advice for the gTLD registry accreditation/application process, and the evaluation and consideration of new services through the Registry Services Evaluation Process (RSEP).
- Design technical protocols to facilitate the interaction between the Registries, Registrars, Data Escrow Agents, Trademark Clearing House (TMCH), etc.
Requirements:
- Must have experience working as an Infrastructure Engineer or System/DNS Administrator for an Internet Registry or a Domain Name Registrar
- Understanding and experience in Domain Name System (DNS), DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC), Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP), WHOIS, Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP), and Data Escrow standards
- High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
- Experience in Agile environments
- BS and/or MS in CS, IS or related field
