What You Will Do
Responsible for the enterprise network security infrastructure including design, configuration, implementation, and administration of firewall and DMZ environments, IDS\IPS environments, third party integration, virtual private networks, and related network security environments. Plans, designs, implements and supports Firewall\DMZ environments, third party environments, load balancing environments, IDS\IPS environments, and other network related environments. Provides planning, direction, and technical expertise regarding network security for local, wide area networks, the Internet, and other network environments. Develops network security standards and creates policies/procedures for firewall and network environments, to include standards for VPN, router security, and switch security. Investigates security threats reported by security vendors, IDS\IPS and provides direction to responsible teams for remediation. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization s Values.
What We Will Require
Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems, or equivalent education and/or experience. Minimum of five (5) years of Network Engineering and LAN/WAN installation & implementation experience along with the ability to solve related network, VOIP, LAN/WAN communication problems. Able to read, understand and interpret complex technical documents and periodicals. Take responsibility and perform work utilizing independent judgment and initiative. Able to function in a high volume environment and within time constraints while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. High level of professionalism and confidentiality of sensitive information. Provide data center operations support in a seven day a week, twenty-four hour a day on call support.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
Network load balancing and application firewall knowledge. Network security background. Able to read, understands the technical components of a network infrastructure/architecture and its interactions. Familiarity and the ability to apply the fundamentals of TOGAF as an Enterprise Architect role.
Additional Job Responsibilities
Investigates security threats reported by security vendors, IDS\IPS and provides direction to responsible teams for remediation. Performs network infrastructure evaluations, reports findings and works with Network Engineers to implement new configurations. Prepares and maintains detailed documentation of network environments. Assists with disaster recovery exercises.
