Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain databases, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Perform database performance tuning and SQL optimization to improve efficiency.
- Implement and maintain database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database performance and system issues.
- Manage and maintain database objects such as tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Unix Shell Scripting and JCL for routine database tasks.
- Utilize DB2 utilities (e.g., LOAD, REORG, RUNSTATS) for database maintenance.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure data integrity and optimal design.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for configurations, procedures, and design decisions.
- Provide 24x7 support and participate in on-call rotations for production database environments.
